About Beechmont Riffs

Heyward is a post-hippie, baby-boomer, living the upper middle class dream in the wealthy suburban community of Beechmont Riffs, New York. Heyward's life is fairly predictable --he mows the lawn, picks up his daughter from school, and tries to make his marriage work. But when a horrifying murder takes place within the secure suburban society, Heyward's life takes a turn. It is a calm morning when a murder shocks his village. The leads are cold and few. What results is an obsessive search for the truth by the local police, a political balancing act by the town Mayor, and the unraveling of a small community.

Beechmont Riffs tells the gripping story of a tight-knight community's unorthodox reaction to a violent crime. In the center is Heyward, an unsuspecting hero and self-proclaimed private eye who sets out to solve the crime, while never forgetting to mow the lawn.
